Accordion

The CNIMA is an internationally renowned French based accordion school. It was founded in 1995 by esteemed professor Jacques Mornet and award-winning accordionist, co-founder and director, Nathalie Boucheix.

CNIMA students have enjoyed multiple successes, including having won a record 126 awards at international competitions.

The school has trained several generations of finest French accordionists: Alain Musichini, Domi Emorine, Félicien Brut, Vincent Lhermet, Christine Rossi ... to name a few.

The secret of Mornet's technique lies in approaching the accordion as a wind instrument rather than a keyboard instrument. The proper use of the air column combined with the appropriate touch of the keys (i.e. half-lever/half-button technique, and playing "on the surface"), creates outstanding results that transforms one's playing and frees musicality.

Piano, guitar, voice and other instruments ...

For the past few years, piano, guitar and voice is taught by teachers specialized in jazz and pop music.

CNIMA's setting in the heart of the Auvergne Volcano Park allows full concentration on music. The full boarding living sparks up a friendly family like atmosphere.
