Following an intensive week-long masterclass bringing together around ten outstanding young accordion virtuosos from France and abroad as they prepare for the world's most prestigious international competitions, the public is invited to discover these exceptional musicians in a unique concert.

Among them is Futa Mizutani, an 18-year-old Japanese prodigy. A student of the CNIMA since the age of 11, he has studied with Jacques Mornet remotely from Japan and travels to the CNIMA twice a year for advanced training. He won the Castelfidardo International Accordion Competition (Under 12 category) in 2022 and the Klingenthal International Accordion Competition (Classical Music, Under 15 category) in 2024. Widely regarded as one of the brightest young talents in the international accordion world, he will compete this summer in the Accordion World Cup in Kazakhstan.

The programme will feature classical music, major concert repertoire, world music, and popular favourites, showcasing the remarkable versatility and virtuosity of the accordion.

This exceptional concert will take place in the prestigious Salle d'Eau of the Mont-Dore Thermal Baths, one of the resort's architectural gems. Built in the nineteenth century on the site of ancient Roman baths, this remarkable building—partially listed as a Historic Monument—is renowned for its grand proportions, Neo-Byzantine décor, and unique atmosphere. The audience will enjoy the performance in a venue steeped in history, once frequented by many renowned singers who came to benefit from the celebrated Source des Chanteurs ("Singers' Spring").

End-of-internship concerts in Saint Sauves d'Auvergne

End-of-workshopps concerts are an opportunity to hear students of all levels, from amateurs to international virtuosos, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Accordion in all styles, along with other instruments.

They take place in the heart of the village, at the Saint-Sauves-d’Auvergne village hall (from early April to late August), or at the school hall (from early September to late March). Free admission.
