Training Focus Areas:
This training course offers musicians an introduction to the fundamentals of popular music composition: melodic creation, chord progressions, song structures, and basic arranging.
Trainer:
Patrick Brugalières is a famous accordion player / accompanist of Famous French singers (Lio, Sardou, Gréco). He composes film scores for blockbuster films such as Astérix and is a Bordeaux University professor for computer assisted music.
Participants and et pre-requisite:
All instruments level. Average level in harmony.
Schedule: From Monday 1:30 pm to Thursday 12:30 pm

Trainer : Frédéric Kocourek is a French lyricist since 1997, He has written for roughly 30 French singers including Angélique Kidjo, Natasha St Pier, Isabelle Boulay, Rock Voisine, Sarah Brightman, Daguerre, Yannick Noah, Louis Bertignac ... He has taught among others, at Francis Cabrel's Rencontres d'Astaffort. He is very involved in continuous training with Sacem, l'Afdas et the Union Nationale des Auteurs et Compositeurs.
Content : Perfect your work as a song lyricist. Work on inspiration, structure, style, rhythms, rimes, story telling ... Are the requirements for songwriting a source of constraint or liberation?
Audience : Auteurs, compositeurs, interprètes des musiques actuelles, auteur-interprète, auteur-compositeur, compositeur-interprète

Singing workshop
with Mylène Mornet

Trainer:
Student at the CNSM in Paris, Mylène Mornet obtained a first prize in singing, and then won numerous national (Alès, Béziers) and international (Voix d'Or, Marmande, Rennes) competitions. Her discography includes "La Périchole" and "Les Diamants de la Couronne" for Harmonia Mundi.
Content:
Perfecting vocal skills through technical work: vocal agility, nuances, sensitivity... Interpretation of an individual song on soundtrack. Stage work with professional training: posture, microphone management, ease... Group singing to develop the practice of polyphony, harmonization, listening to others and sharing... International variety and French song.
Public: All levels, all ages

25 h, from Monday 2pm till Friday evening (after end of workshop concert). Welcome meeting 1:30pm

Piano workshop
with Maxime D'Errico

Work on instrumental technique and musicality. Variation of touches. Use of pedals. Acquisition of a working method.
Formateur : Maxime is a pianist and accordionist.
He is a professional entertainer specialized in cocktail and dancing music. He started studying at age of 11and he is a winner of numerous international competitions and has a Conservatory diploma in accordion DEM (Diplôme d'Etudes Musicales).
Audience : Tout âge, tout niveau
Pre-requisite: Jouer un morceau au piano (sauf pour les grands débutants n’ayant jamais pratiqué l’instrument).

20 and 1/2 hours, from Monday 2pm to Friday night

Singing workshop

Content:
Improve your vocal skills, by developing your technique. Add more flexibility, nuances and sensibility in your singing. Work on your stage presence and the handling of a microphone. Sing in a group and learn how to listen to one another and harmonize.
Trainer:
Alexia Mornet was born in a family of musicians and has been singing since the age of 8. She got selected for the Voice in 2020 . Her voice is featured in a Ibis Hotel add campaign. She peforms extensively in Provence as a duo with guitar player Sam Tallet.

Guitar workshop

Content : "The guitar in all its states". Master various musical styles: pop, rock, blues, chanson, flamenco .... Play covers. Develop your style and improvisation skills.
Trainer :
Sam Tallet is a self-taught guitarist and singer propelled by his talent, on the front stage. He gets noticed by great jazzmen such as Louis Winsberg, Paco Séry, Stéphane Huchard, Minino Garay ... In 2019, He is chosen to participate to "The Voice" with his group Octopus, performing for 7 million viewers.

COMPUTER ASSISTED MUSIC Workshop

Develop a complete production from start to finish, including audio recording, MIDI sequencing, and mixing.

Combination of group lessons, instructor demonstrations, and independent work on a personal project.

Goals: Learn how to write a musical score including chords and lyrics in MuseScore, using keyboard shortcuts to improve speed and efficiency.
