Goal:
Acquire or develop your instrumental technique with the Jacques Mornet Method, a winning pedagogy that has earned the CNIMA the best results in the world at international competitions.
Holding the instrument, balance of the bellows, spinning of the sound, palette of touches, musicality etc... Come and work on 1 or 2 pieces of your choice and of all styles (variety, classical, musette, jazz, balkans...).
Trainers: Jacques Mornet is a world-renowned accordion teacher, holder of the Gus Viseur prize and the silver disc of the Russian Gnessin Academy and founder of the CNIMA. Nathalie Boucheix is a virtuoso accordionist, winner of the most important international competitions, co-founder of the CNIMA of which she is the director. Their team is composed of teachers with great artistic and pedagogical skills.

BoutonSchedule: The "CNIMA" workshops can be done over 5 days or over 2 days and a half.
5-day workshop: from Monday noon to Saturday noon, each half-day, 1 hour of group lesson and ½ hour of individual lesson, on 1 or 2 pieces of your choice. 20h30 in total.
2 ½ day workshop : from Monday noon to Wednesday evening, each half day, 1 hour of group class and ½ hour of individual class, on 1 or 2 pieces of your choice. On the same dates as the 5-day workshops. N.B.: Possibility to continue the workshop after the 2 ½ days.

Purpose :
Study Franck Angélis music under his guidance. His pedagogical music is accessible to all but Franck is known for his virtuoso pieces played in all accordion constests around the world.
Trainer :
Franck Angelis is one of today's foremost accordion composer. As an accordionist, he won the Trophée Mondial in 1981 in the classical senior category. He teaches at the Gennevilliers Music conservatory since 1992 and has the highest Music National Diploma (Diplôme d'Etat).

28 RHYTHMS Accordion Workshop

Contenu :
Learn and master 28 dance rhythm on your left hand: Valse, Boléro, Cha-Cha, Bachata, Cumbia, Bossa-nova, Tango, Foxtrot, Charleston , Forro, Madison, Baïon, Reggae ... Technical work related to each rhythm and work on the "groove". Place this 28 rhythm with a theme on the right hand in order to work the independance.
Formateur :
Maxime is an accordionist and professional musician specialized in entertainment music for cocktails and bals. He studied at CNIMA from age 11 and got a French Conservatory diploma in accordion. He was a laureate in many international accordion competition.

FORRÓ Accordion Workshop
avec Richard Posselt

Trainer:
A pianist and accordionist, Richard Posselt is a specialist in Brazilian music, especially forró and choro. He studied in Rio de Janeiro with some of the best musicians in these styles: Bebe Kramer, Hamilton de Holanda, Luis Barcelos, Eduardo Neves, Rogério Caetano, Luciano Maia, Marcelo Caldi … He performs with the group Deixa Gingar and teaches at Jazz Action Valence.

Content: Forró is a traditional music and dance from the North Eastern part of Brazil. Forro instruments are the triangle, the accordéon and the zabumba (big flat drum) and sometimes also the pandeiro (kind of a drum). Most of the time, the musicians also sing. Dominguinhos, Jackson do Pandeiro, Genival Lacerda, and Luiz Gonzaga are among the most well known forro musicians. In the workshop we will study different rhythms (Xote, baião, Xaxado, Arrasta-pé… ) on accordion of course but also on percussions. A fun and very concrete way to understand and play this music.

DIATONIC Accordion Workshop
with François Heim

Goals:
Progress technically and musically on the diatonic accordion. Acquire a working methodology to gain autonomy.
Methods Used:
Repertoire work, group and individual playing.
Instructor:
François Heim discovered the diatonic accordion in 1979 and has explored various traditional music repertoires. His encounter with balalaika player Alexei Birioukov led him to Eastern music, before expanding into other styles such as jazz and world music. Deeply committed to pedagogy, he co-authored a method book and six collections for the diatonic accordion with Jean Michel Corgeron. He also founded a workshop venue in the Cévennes, active for over 30 years.

Olivier Douyez has graduated from the Mons Royal Conservatory ART2 (Belgium) where he now teaches. He is a winner of major international accordion competitions and is regularly invited as a jury member at PIF Castelfidardo, Coupe Mondiale, Trophée Mondial etc. He performs throughout the world with his accordion quintet, the Quintette Hybris, and his violin accordion duo with his son, the Douyez Duo.
