Jazz Horns and Woods workshop

with Jean-Jacques Taib

Trainer:

Jean-Jacques TAIB is a clarinet / flute / sax player member of the Jazz Academy. Passionate about swing and blues, he has played with Pepper Adam, Sony Stitt, Ttommy Flanagan ... and participated in the major Jazz festivals of Montreux, Marciac, Tel Aviv ...


Content:

Learn the language of jazz by studying jazz standards, blues and chord sequences. Practice improvisation alone or with a band.


Participants:  All ages, all levels


Prerequisite: Some notions and practice of basic harmony


Schedule:  35 hours, from Monday 1:30pm till Friday 12:30pm

Singing workshop
with Mylène Mornet


from July 8th to 13th 2024

Trainer:
Student at the CNSM in Paris, Mylène Mornet obtained a first prize in singing, and then won numerous national (Alès, Béziers) and international (Voix d'Or, Marmande, Rennes) competitions. Her discography includes "La Périchole" and "Les Diamants de la Couronne" for Harmonia Mundi.

Content:
Perfecting vocal skills through technical work: vocal agility, nuances, sensitivity... Interpretation of an individual song on soundtrack. Stage work with professional training: posture, microphone management, ease... Group singing to develop the practice of polyphony, harmonization, listening to others and sharing... International variety and French song.

Schedule: 25 h, from Monday 1:30pm till Friday evening (after end of workshop concert)

Piano workshop

with Maxime D'ERRICO

Dates:

from August 5 to 10, 2024

Content : Work on instrumental technique and musicality. Variation of touches. Use of pedals. Acquisition of a working method.


Trainer:

Maxime is a pianist and accordionist.

 He is a professional entertainer specialized in cocktail and dancing music. He started studying at age of 11and he is a winner of numerous international competitions and has a Conservatory diploma in accordion DEM (Diplôme d'Etudes Musicales).
 

Participants: All ages, all levels

Accordion & Ensembles Workshop

"Make Your Own Project"


with Félicien BRUT


Dates: from August 12 to 16, 2024

Former:
Félicien has become, in just a few years, one of the most prolific, inventive and recognized French classical musicians of his generation. Trained for many years at CNIMA, under the leadership of Jacques MORNET and Nathalie BOUCHEIX, he won the biggest existing international accordion competitions. He hosts a show on France Musique: “Brut d’accordéon”.

Content : 
Understand the issues of the career of a professional musician in the world of classical music. Define the multiple facets of the concert profession. Understand the work of a chamber musician and that of a soloist. Design an artistic project: imagine, organize, communicate, carry out. 

Audience :
Course open to chamber music ensembles, duos, trios, quartets & solo accordionists. Average or higher instrumental level.

Prerequisites:
A piece worked on before the course, for solo accordion or chamber music ensemble (duo, trio, quartet). Willingness to work intensively over the five days. Production of a short video sent at the time of the CNIMA registration request which will allow the overall level of each trainee to be assessed and the repertoire to be adapted accordingly.

Schedule: individual and group classes. From Monday 1:30pm to Friday after the evening concert. (actual end of workshop 5pm)

Guitar workshop

with Sam TALLET


Dates: Feb 17-21 2025


Content : "The guitar in all its states". Master various musical styles: pop, rock, blues, chanson, flamenco .... Play covers. Develop your style and improvisation skills.


Trainer : Sam Tallet is a self-taught guitarist and singer propelled by his talent, on the front stage. He gets noticed by great jazzmen such as Louis Winsberg, Paco Séry, Stéphane Huchard, Minino Garay ... In 2019, He is chosen to participate to "The Voice" with his group Octopus, performing for 7 million viewers.

Singing workshop

Dates : du 17 au 21 février 2025

Content:
Improve your vocal skills, by developing your technique. Add more flexibility, nuances and sensibility in your singing. Work on your stage presence and the handling of a microphone. Sing in a group and learn how to listen to one another and harmonize. 



Trainer:
Alexia Mornet was born in a family of musicians and has been singing since the age of 8. She got selected for the Voice in 2020 . Her voice is featured in a Ibis Hotel add campaign. She peforms extensively in Provence as a duo with guitar player Sam Tallet.

Content :

Study themes in various styles : ternary or binary, swing, bossa. Develop your harmony skills. Practice improvisation starting with the Blues in F

Clown workshop


with Rachel GEISS/Cie Lily Schlap &Co


Dates: March 17-21 2025


Contenu : Open to anyone driven by the desire to make people laugh, using bodily and physical elements... Work on body awareness, initiation to theatrical codes and "universal comic laws", small writings to from improvisations... In short... a few days to travel together to the country of the "comic and musical actor"!

Formateur :
Rachel GEISS is a clown-actress and writer, who has been doing street theater festivals, and special events with her clown character "Lily Schlap" for more than 12 years. She is passionate about teaching and shares her craft in a variety of schools such as conservatory, IME, schools... since 2009.
