Accordion courses program

Two main working lines:

  • Mastering techniques without ever neglecting music.
  • The instrument apprenticeship allows above all to reveal one’s musical personality by releasing itself as fast as possible from technical constraints.

Our pedagogy is based on the concept of  balance between 3 fundamental points:

  • Sound emission, control and listening. Compression and motion of the bellows.
  • Variety of articulations and touch (height of attacks, different fingers pressures) that must allow musical relief (3 dimensions play).
  • The importance of physical/body play, underlining and helping musical expression.

Only once these technical problems are resolved, the instrument becomes a real tool to serve music. So, after this more or less long basical work, the musician will not have anything to do that using his/her sensibility to serve music. He then should turn his work to the research of “smart play”.
